New low!

The barometer reached a new low during the storm -- 28.95 inches. It dropped a full half inch from the night before. I'd never actually seen it lower than 29 before. (Did anyone ever see the episode of "Happy Days" where the barometer drops to 28 and that means a tornado is coming? It made a big impression on me). Anyway, thanks for indulging my nerdiness.

Update

At 6:31 p.m., the barometer is at 29.45. Very low. I know you were on the edge of your seat.

Acting Gov. Codey advised people to stay inside tonight, read, spend time with the family, and watch the Sopranos.

Nor'easter is nigh

From Wunderground.com:

A major spring Nor'easter with the capability of causing damage equivalent to a Category 1 hurricane may develop Sunday off the U.S. East Coast.

Right now, my trusty barometer is at 30.01...I forsee it dropping as the weather becomes unstable tomorrow. It could be verrrrry interesting weather!
