Update

The weather forecasters said that it WOULD have been called a nor'easter, except that it came from the south.

Ohhh!!!!

Congratulations, barometer!

My barometer has reached a rare low today: 29.42 inches. It's very windy and rainy outside, and the potted plants in front of the restaurants on my street have fallen over, spilling mud and leaves everywhere. Autumn leaves are plastered to the ground.

Is this a nor'easter no one warned us about?

I saw I never posted on this blog in September. I guess it's just not very exciting.

Wow

This blog was featured in Philadelphia Weekly's excellent story about weather blogs by Daniel McQuade this week.

What can I say about that other than this: 29.99 inches in my room right now!

Also, check my regular blog or write to me via my author website.

By the way, it is still way too hot for fall.

Rain, rain

It was autumn cool this morning, but in the afternoon it got up to 80 degrees! The forecasters promised a cool front and thundershowers around midnight, and now they're here.

The barometer in my room is 29.91 inches and falling.

Hopefully we will wake up to weather that is more "seasonable."
